Morgan Stanley Securities (China) Co., Ltd. is Morgan Stanley’s securities business platform in China, and provides leading financial services to its clients in the People’s Republic of China and across the globe. Our businesses include underwriting and sponsoring of equities and bonds, securities principal trading , as well as other businesses approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). With headquarter in Shanghai, the company also has a branch in Beijing.

Summer Internship Program

You will experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley Securities (China) by taking on responsibilities of a Full Time Analyst for approximately 10 weeks. You are exposed to the entire deal process—including business development, origination, structuring and execution across equity, bond and advisory products and services—and will gain an understanding of how the different areas of the bank interact. Morgan Stanley Securities China has been expanding the China practice rapidly and has established itself as a key and uniquely positioned player in the local market, delivering world class financial services to domestic clients with its international platform and local expertise, via leveraging Morgan Stanley’s global resource sharing mechanism. You will have opportunities to work on transformative transactions as domestic clients continue to grow their presence globally, and also backwards as international clients are constantly exploring their opportunities in China.

 

You will attend a Firmwide orientation program and participate in an intensive division-specific training program focused on developing a strong foundation in the basic skills of financial analysis, accounting and valuation, and work on a wide range of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities vary but may include:

• Participating in the execution of financings and M&A transactions

• Analyzing detailed financial and operating information related to corporations and industries

• Creating statistical exhibits that analyze comparative financial performance

• Building models to illustrate projected financial results and value to companies

• Developing marketing memoranda and delivering sections of research presentation

• Acting as the liaison for the team and other parts of the Firm

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

• You are pursuing an undergraduate bachelor’s or master's degree with a graduation date between October 2026 and July 2027

• You have an ability to manage multiple projects, provide complicated financial analysis, and develop appropriate corporate finance solutions

• Analytical, adaptive, multi-tasker, team player and have a strong work ethic and leadership skills

• Interest in developing a career in Investment Banking

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbal and written

• Skilled in using MS Office and databases such as Wind/Bloomberg/CIQ

• Possess the right to work in Mainland China
