We're seeking someone to join our technology team at Morgan Stanley Futures (China) as an Infrastructure Engineer to report directly to the IT Infra Lead of the Company.

This is an Infrastructure Engineering position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for maintaining the stability and reliability of the organization's infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability to support business operations.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Responsible for database maintenance and upgrade, monitoring the database operation status;

  • Responsible for database level system backup on regular / real-time basis, keep tracking of backup results and follow-up on potential incidents;

  • Monitor the capacities and performance of IT infrastructure from database level, to ensure the high-availability of IT systems to fulfill non-functional requirements;

  • Responsible for database emergency response planning from database perspective according to the Company’s business continuity plan and align with the Company’s business resiliency requirements;

  • Abide to relevant laws, regulations, provisions from CSRC, the AOA of the company and related policies. Keep the integrity to the job and the role’s responsibility;

  • The role, prior to the Company establishment, is responsible for supporting the working group on project related matters for the Company setup.

 

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Certification of Futures Practitioner from China Futures Association;

  • Experience relating to IT database administration or equivalent in financial institutions; Previous experiences in foreign-invested financial institutions and experiences regarding IT database establishment for start-up financial institutions is preferable;

  • Familiar with technical and administrative knowledge of database management, such as Linux, Oracle, SQL;

  • Familiar with relevant law, corresponding regulatory requirements with regard to futures business and IT management in PRC;

  • Good professional ethics, could timely identify and report the issue or potential risks from the compliance and risk management status of the Company’s daily operations;

  • Bachelor or above in Computer Science or equivalent;

  • Fluent in Chinese Mandarin and English with solid written and verbal communication skills

 

At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
