We’re seeking someone to join our China Platform Agile squad as a Senior Windows Systems Engineer in Workforce Technology Department to architecture a secure, modern, enterprise class Windows ecosystem that integrates with all kinds of shared services running on-prem  and on Cloud.

This is a Workplace Engineer III position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing the technical environment and end-user experience across various workplace technologies, ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction across the organization.

What you'll do in the role:

 

  • Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives.
  • Interact regularly with team members and occasionally leadership on a range of topics.
  • Ensure that solutions for desktops, laptops, servers and VMs (Virtual Machine) address business expectations while aligning to security control objectives, supportability, and performance requirements.
  • Provide thought leadership when partnering with technology leads, architects, stakeholders, and other Agile squads alike to ensure solutions are cohesive.
  • Evaluate commercial solutions to help drive “Buy vs. Build” decisions
  • Partner with Product Owner and Service Delivery Manager to proactively shape the roadmap of the Windows Server/Desktop space.
  • Create and foster a diverse and inclusive environment founded upon trust and respect needed to attract, develop and retain talent.
  • Serve as a role model by facilitating routine cross team/organization engagements and model collaborative behavior. Inspire the team to bring forward innovative ideas and solutions meant to support the business accordingly.

 

What you'll bring to the role: 

 

  • Ability to process information, translate into plans and present summaries to stakeholders.
  • Experienced understanding of business line and discipline.
  • Proven enterprise-scale infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation experience aimed at delivering universally available solutions for complex, highly regulated industries such as Financial Services.
  • Subject matter expertise with Windows Server, Windows 11, Active Directory, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Group Policy Objects, Entra Connect, WSUS, WDS, Windows Cluster and SCCM. Experience with software packaging and delivery technologies like Chocolatey for Business a plus.
  • Experience with scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated experience creating enterprise desktop images and modern deployment technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of management and working groups.
  • Experience in automation and knowledge of Ansible a plus.
  • Experience in SDLC/bitbucket/git is a plus.
  • At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
