We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Operation Associate in Branch Ops Asia to provide back-office functional support to the business growth of loan, deposit derivatives in MSBIC.

 

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

 

- Execute processes/functions and/or support process management and project efforts, leveraging knowledge of the systems, markets and instruments that influence the team

- Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and contribute to process improvements

- Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output

- Participate in projects and initiatives, aiding in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution

This role is to support MSBIC client deposit and loan business covering:

- MSBIC loan and deposit client onboarding and KYC refresh according to MS global KYC standards, China local AML rules and MSBIC AML policies and procedures;

- Client deposit account opening to fulfil client business needs e.g. capital injection, general working purpose, loan disbursement etc.;

- Client inward and outward payment and loan and deposit transaction booking;

- Funding forecast and liquidity reporting;

- MS internal reporting and local regulatory reporting; and

- MSBIC internal and regulatory projects.

 

 

What you'll bring to the role:

 

- Ability to establish clear goals and priorities, and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision

- Subject matter expertise in business area supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requests

- Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values

- Relevant experience in Banking Operations

- Good knowledge on loan, guarantee, deposit, account, remittance or other products and back-office system and processing;

- Good experience of business analysis, UAT, parallel running in technology project e.g. implement new bank system or significant system change;

- Ability to identify problems as they arise and understand when these need to be escalated;

- High personal commitment and integrity; and

- Teamwork spirit and cooperation with other team members or departments.

- At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
